It was drama aplenty this afternoon, with promotion back to the Promised Land of the Premier League for Watford. Hartlepool miraculously defied the odds, as Ronnie Moore’s men overturned a ten point deficit to stay in the football league for another year at least. Tranmere, however, were not so lucky, and are confined to plying their trade in the Conference next term. There were goals galore, a smattering of missed penalties; and in the Premier League, Leicester once again defied the odds, triumphing in dramatic fashion in the proverbial six-pointer against plucky Burnley. Robbie and Darren guide us through the agony, the ecstasy and all the day’s action, to boot.
