Autism is a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by behavioural challenges. That is the official description but the way autism can affect an individual and their family is far more complex. April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day and the challenge is for all of us to try and understand autism better.
