Belly binding is the ancient and traditional art of gently wrapping a woman's belly after giving birth. Practitioners say it's like giving a new mother a gentle hug and a feeling of support. Once a regular part of postpartum care, the practice has recently been re-introduced in a number of different forms. In this podcast you can hear how binding was once part of regular post delivery care and how the repurposed practice is helping new mothers feel more supported in the weeks following the delivery of their baby.
