Circumcision is a decision a number of parents have to make. If religion is not a factor, some parents still feel it is the right decision for their sons and will have very good reasons for seeking a doctor to perform this procedure. From a peak number of men regularly circumcised (researchers tell us 69% of Australian men were in 2006) it is a procedure that began to become unpopular in the 1970s and is currently out of favour with most non-religious doctors. So why do some parents make the choice and where would you go if you needed to have it done?
