The experts tell us constantly about the importance of reading to children as they grow. It's a habit we're encouraged to get into early as parents but it takes considerable time and energy. Sometimes it's hard to find the right books, getting to the library with a car full of toddlers is almost impossible and then comes the reading part. It shouldn't come as a surprise that 50% of homes in the state of Victoria only read to their pre-school aged children once a week and 30% of Victorian homes do not manage to read to their child at all. this is where the Imagination Library can really make a difference.
In a time where we're all threatened by a rhetoric of hate from the people in power; A Gay And A NonGay challenges many of our differences head on and promises that no matter who you are, or what you're into (Bruce Springsteen or Britney), love is love and gay and nongays can be friends.
