We know and accept that sometimes childbirth is a difficult process, and we know that sometimes it can even be traumatic. In this podcast we are going to look at when that trauma is not eclipsed by holding that healthy baby, when the pain, anger and grief at being traumatised during childbirth causes longer term problems. Exposing the Silence is a project begun by Cristen Pascucci and Lindsay Askins who have been photographing and talking to women who have experienced traumatic births, an experience that has stayed with them for a very long time.
