It's not often that a playwright makes their debut on the main stage of one of Australia's leading theatre companies. Kylie Coolwell has done just that with her play Battle of Waterloo, a claustrophobic human story about love and chaos set in the public housing blocks of the inner Sydney suburb of Waterloo. The playwright describes it as a love letter to the suburb where she lives.
