Otis Redding is his hero, and he also wanted to be Elvis Costello in his younger years, but JJ Grey and his band Mofro now wear their southern gospel, blues, roots and soul influences proudly. JJ came into the RN Afternoon studios to play a couple of songs and reflect on his upbringing in Jacksonville Florida, known historically as the 'Harlem of the South' when Cab Calloway and Louis Armstrong played and stayed.
