A cure for grey hair?

March 2nd, 2016

Episode 862 of 1744 episodes

Scientists have pinpointed a gene responsible for grey hair - a discovery that could lead to new ways of delaying or preventing this natural sign of ageing, they say in Nature Communications. The international team collected DNA samples from "a diverse melting pot" of more than 6,000 volunteers of European, Native American and African ancestry. Emma Soames, editor at large of Saga Magazine, and Professor Desmond Tobin, one of the senior authors of the study, discussed on the programme the potential of the discovery.
