August 6th, 2016

Episode 1114 of 1744 episodes

Dozens of workers at burger chain Byron were arrested on 4 July in raids by immigration officials, which the Home Office said were carried out with Byron's "full co-operation". BBC reporter Emma Wilson spoke to a former Byron worker, Rafa, who described the moment an apparently ordinary meeting turned into an immigration raid which led to his arrest and deportation. Anita Pali, an associate solicitor in business immigration at law firm Doyle Clayton, discussed the legal aspect of the restaurant chain's actions. (Image: Byron burger restaurant.
