Ministers are considering whether homeopathy should be put on a blacklist of treatments GPs are banned from prescribing, the BBC has learned. “These pills typically have nothing in them,” said Simon Singh, founder of the Good Thinking Society, who said he is contacted every week “by somebody whose relative has died because they were misguided, misled by homeopaths”. Multiple studies have found homeopathy treatment “is not a placebo," said Dr Peter Fisher, director of research at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) and some studies “show that you get better outcomes with homeopathy”.
