Sir John Major on the EU referendum

April 29th, 2016

Episode 942 of 1744 episodes

The former Conservative prime minister Sir John Major has said Leave campaigners are wrong when they claim the UK will lose it's sovereignty by staying in the EU. "This country is sovereign. We can vote to repeal the accession act to the European Union at any time - that is sovereignty in its purest form," he said. "If you want undiluted sovereignty in the modern age, when everybody is interconnected, then go to North Korea because that's where you will get it," said Sir John. (Image: Sir John Major.
