October 6th, 2016

Episode 1242 of 1744 episodes

In the last three days, more than 10,000 people have been rescued from boats in the Mediterranean by the Italian coastguard, putting renewed pressure on the Italian authorities. The UNHCR's spokesperson for Europe William Spindler calls for the provision of legal ways for refugees to come safely to Europe. (Photo: Migrants on a boat in the Mediterranean.
