Jonathan Ive the Senior Vice President of Design at Apple has given an interview to The New Yorker in which he reveals that he and Steve Jobs shared a 'lack of social smoothness', and as a result installed lifts at Apple HQ which give 'digital distractions' to employees forced to ride in elevators with colleagues. How common is this? Are we so socially awkward that we need such distractions in elevators? And what are the most creative things employers could do with lifts?
