March 19th, 2015

Episode 217 of 1744 episodes

Tomorrow a total eclipse of the Sun will take place, visible from the North Atlantic Ocean. Observers in the UK and Ireland will see a partial solar eclipse, with up to 97% of the Sun blocked out. This will be the deepest eclipse in the UK since 1999. And be warned, you won’t have another chance to see anything like it until 2026. Professor Brian Cox and Dr Sheila Kanani, Education, Outreach and Diversity Officer of the Royal Astronomical Society.
