Today: Mark Duggan's family reject IPCC report

March 25th, 2015

Episode 226 of 1744 episodes

An investigation has concluded that Mark Duggan was probably throwing a handgun away when he was shot and killed by police. The shooting of Mr Duggan in August 2011 sparked riots in London which spread to other cities in England in the worst disorder for a generation. The Independent Police Complaints Commission found that the police operation targeting Mr Duggan was "appropriate" but said two police officers who investigated an earlier incident involving the same weapon should be disciplined. Shaun Hall is Mark Duggan's brother.
