Rolling Stone ranks Mark Knopfler as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. One of the reasons his band Dire Straits sold more than 120 million albums and why tracks like Brothers in Arms, Money for Nothing and Romeo & Juliet are considered classics. Since the band finally split in the 1990s he has produced 8 solo albums and worked on many film scores - not least that for Local Hero. Sarah went to his studios in west london to hear about his latest album called 'tracker' - he explained why.
