The Prime Minister has turned on the broadcasters trying to find a formula for televised election debates. David Cameron has said he will only take part in one; it must be with all the other parties. It also has to take place before the campaign proper begins in April, the consequence being that there's now great doubt about whether we'll see a debate at all.
