Unpublished letters by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle which successfully lead to a convicted man being pardoned go on sale at Bonhams today. Crucially the bundle includes a report by Captain Anson of the Staffordshire Police which reveals for the first time that police deliberately fabricated evidence to mislead and discredit the great writer in the case of George Edalji a Birmingham solicitor wrongly accused of horse maiming and sending poison pen letters. Sarah Lindberg is a Manuscript Specialist at Bonhams who catalogued the unpublished Sir Arthur Conan Doyle letters, and Catherine Cook manages the Sherlock Holmes collection at Westminster Libraries.
Jessica Helfand and Michael Bierut explore how design works within complex organizations to shape decisions, ideas, products, and more. Guests include clients from many industries and designers in many fields. Recorded at the Yale School of Management.
