Today: What is the troika and why won't Greece deal with it?

February 9th, 2015

Episode 127 of 1744 episodes

Troika is a term that has been made famous by the Eurozone crisis, and it refers to the international inspectors who have the job of implementing austerity and reform in Greece, and other countries that have received international bailouts over the last few years. The new Greek government says it wants nothing to do with the Troika in its current form, and it won't extend its bailout when it expires at the end of the month. Europe Correspondent Chris Morris casts some light on the situation.
