Utoeya survivor: 'Show Breivik humanity'

April 21st, 2016

Episode 927 of 1744 episodes

A survivor of the mass murder committed by Anders Breivik has supported the Norwegian court's decision that some of his treatment amounted to "inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment". "He deserves the same human rights as any other inmate", said Bjorn Ihler, who was present when Breivik, a right-wing extremist, killed 69 people on the island of Utoeya in July 2011. "Breivik did deny us our humanity and our human rights. That does not make it right for us to deny him the same thing." (Image: Anders Breivik. Credit: AFP/Getty Images)
