This week's guest judge is Jens Waernes, senior creative director / art director at BBDO, New York.Jens origins from Jeloy, a small beautiful island in the Oslofjord of Norway.In 2010 he was invited by Greg Hahn to come work as creative director under his leadership at BBDO New York.He currently helps run VISA as group creative director.The clients he has worked on over the years ranges from big international brands to pro bono: VISA, FedEx, Guinness, HBO, AT&T, Monster, Gillette, Mountain Dew, BMW, MINI, Mercedes Benz, Samsung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, Ravensburger and NOAH.His work has been celebrated with multiple awards at Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clios, London International, ADC New York, ADC Germany, ADC Europe, Epica and Eurobest.In 2010, his campaign for Augsburger Allgemeine won Germany's only Cannes Gold in print.In both 2010 and 2009, the Augsburger Allgemeine campaign was listed among the most awarded print campaigns in the world (The Big Won, The Gunn Report).In 2008, his work for Ravensburger was listed as the 4th most awarded poster campaign in the world as well as the 7th most awarded innovated media campaign in the world (The Big Won). On a pop cultural note, New York Magazine featured his AT&T Spider spot in their Lowbrow/Brilliant section of The Approval Matrix. The same spot was also listed as the 4th best commercial of 2011 by TIME Magazine.Jens has had the privilege to judge the London International Awards, the New York Festivals, Ad Stars Asia, Gullblyanten and a few other shows that celebrate creativity.He considers himself very fortunate to have been able to live, study and work in unique cities like Oslo, Minneapolis, Hamburg, Berlin and New York.After hours he can be found in DUMBO, Brooklyn where he lives with his lovely family.
