But who can forget the tragic events that unfolded at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 when a gunman callously killed 20 first-graders and six adults. Kaitlin Roig-Debellis was the first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary school. She lived through this tragedy, saving her students by hiding in a tiny bathroom. Kaitlin's memoir is Choosing Hope.
