PORTION SIZE ME is a lifestyle and campaign that started out as a summer project in the Reid home after then-10-year-old Marshall Reid of Sanford NC inspired his family to “get real” with their food choices. Now leading the Portion Size Me campaign, Marshall continues to shed pounds and increase his energy by finding new, interesting ways to eat healthy, local foods and keep exercise a mainstay of his daily routine. Marshall and his mom, Alex Reid, wrote Portion Size Me: A Kid-Driven Plan to a Healthier Family and are currently on a summer tour across the country to inspire other families to make healthy food choices through book signings and fun events called Snack Wars. They will be in Oklahoma City, OK on Saturday, June 23rd for a free family Snack Wars event and book signing. To learn more about the event and other events across the country, visit http://www.PortionSize.Me. Alex and his family have been featured on The Today Show, Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, and CNN.
