Ramona always suspected that the man who was married to her mother was not her real father so she set out to prove herself right. Amira Hass grew up in a home of dissidents in Israel; her parents were Holocaust survivors and communists who were critical of Israeli policies. But she says it is not because of her parents influence that she is against the Israeli occupation of Palestine. It is her choice to be against not only the occupation, but the whole system of discrimination and dispossession.
