As an old black and white guy just starting to dip a metaphorical tripod toe into the world of color photography, I'm finding it an interesting new learning curve. Here are a few things I've discovered about working with color - with apologies to all you long-time color pros who will probably laugh at what this novice is discovering for the first time. This fall, we are offering two immersive experience workshops here in Anacortes, just a couple hours north of Seattle. Brooks will once again teach a hands-on folios and chapbooks workshop scheduled for three full days in mid-October. The following weekend will be a series of 4 half-day seminars modelled after our Road Shows of the last two years. If you missed the Road Show, you can still attend Brooks' seminars on Projects . . . Image & Text . . . Finding an Audience for Your Work . . . and a new offering Printing & Publishing. You can attend any or all of these half-day seminars, but there is a 30% discount for those attending all four! In addition to the workshops, Brooks will be out photographing the day before and after each workshop for those who want to photograph our beautiful islands. And of course, we'll have lots and lots of work to view from our collections: including photogravures, special editions prints, folios, and original prints. You can learn more about our fall workshops at www.lenswork.com.
