On Wednesday, 7 August 2013, the Lowy Institute hosted a debate between Senator The Hon Bob Carr, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and The Hon Julie Bishop MP, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, at its headquarters in Bligh Street, Sydney. The debate was moderated by Dr Michael Fullilove, Executive Director of the Lowy institute. Questions were asked by a panel comprising Rory Medcalf from the Lowy Institute, Paul Kelly from The Australian and Jane Hutcheon from ABC TV.
