Chef Daniele Mazet Delpeuch hails from the Perigord Region in South Western France. She founded the now famous Foie Gras Weekend, a pioneering class teaching the region's cuisine, as well as the Ecole d'Art et Tradition Culinaire du Perigord, the area's first cooking school. She was personal chef to then President Mitterrand for two years in the late 1980s.
