Peter Doherty AC is an Australian immunologist, science researcher and science writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medicine in 1996. He was Australian of the Year in 1997, and is the best-selling author of "The Beginner's Guide to Winning the Nobel Prize- A Life in Science" (2005), "A Light History of Hot Air" (2007), "Sentinel Chickens -What birds tell us about our health and the world" (August 2012), "Pandemics" (2013). Peter's most recent book is "The Knowledge Wars" (Melbourne University Press September 1st 2015).
