If you pay attention to mainstream media reporting on the behaviour of children and teenagers in Australia today, you might be under the impression that they’re mostly a generation of rat-bag delinquents. But in fact, early on-set crime or delinquency is relatively rare in Australia... less than 10% of boys and girls engage in any behaviours classified as delinquent.
