Alvin Langdon Coburn was one of the major figures in the early Pictorialist movement in photography. Born in 1882 in Boston, Coburn and his mother moved to England where his cousin, F. Holland Day helped bring him to the larger stage of the Royal Photographic Society. Coburn began a long and extremely diverse career over many photographic mediums (abstract, portrait, landscape and Autochrome) and as many styles. He was very well known in his time and contributed much to the advancement of photography as a member of the Linked Ring. http://pinterest.com/tedforbes/alvin-langdon-coburn ================ This episode is sponsored by Squarespace For a free trial and 10% off, use offer code AOP http://squarespace.com
