This episode is going to act as a primer for developing C-41 color negative film. As I mention in the video, I’ve never done this myself, so we’re going to be doing this together. I’ve ordered all my supplies and this week I’ll be working with them for the next video. I’ve compiled a list of everything you will need. This covers all film formats. If you need to do large format sheet film, you’ll need some tanks and frames for dipping your film. I would not suggest starting out with large format as its very difficult to keep your temperatures consistent. Learn with roll film then when you know what you’re doing you can step up. C-41 Process Chemicals We are going to be working with the Tetenal C-41 Press Kit for Color Negative Film (Powder) This is actually a slightly simplified kit which mixes the bleach and fix into one chemical. This kit is extremely economical and has everything we need to get working.
