I've got a few things to share with you today… First up is the new Sony a7S mirrorless camera that I've been working with! I've got a series of videos I'm working on for the show coming up that require a camera that will perform really well in low light. I went with the a7S because its built to handle low light applications extremely well. Its a full frame camera at 12 mega pixels. This may not seem like much, but it makes it possible for better low light performance having fewer pixels on the sensor. Also amazing are the color profiles - particularly the S-Log2 which I explain in the video. As for the project I'll be using this on, well… you'll have to wait and see. Also I'm announcing the next Twitter book challenge. This time around we're going to do Architecture as the theme. I'm limiting entries to 3 photos per person - last time it was out of hand for me to go through. Deadline is February 13, 2015. I'll select the winner for the Charles Sheeler book after that.
