It reminds me of one of my favorite lines, from G. K. Chesterton, which I quote several times in The Happiness Project — “It is easy to be heavy: hard to be light.” Though I must say, it seems to be slightly overstating the case to say that there’s no function more important than being charming. I think I can think of a couple of functions that are more important. Agree, disagree?
