On the Pokercast this week: Adam is joined by online poker industry veteran Scott Wilson to talk about the early days of sites like Paradise Poker and Pokerstars. Scott recounts his trip to Costa Rica in 2000 to get Paradise off the ground and all the challenges that faced the team. The guys also talk about some of the marketing decisions that lead to the expansion of the online poker market as well as the differences in how poker sites market to new customers. The first guest this week is the man who wrote the great poker movie "Rounders", Brian Koppelman. He tells the story of how the movie was born, as well as some of the behind the scenes stories of how the film was made. Brian talks about some of his writing influences and discusses his history as a music industry representative as he discovered new, important bands. The second guest is poker superstar Jennifer Tilly, who talks about her experience at the 2014 World Series of Poker. Jennifer tells the story of her biggest cash game loss just prior to the WSOP and how that affected her. On the eve of losing one of the great entertainers of our time, Robin Williams, Jennifer touches on her thoughts on how he affected people. The password for the August 17th Pokercast Invitational for Pokercast listeners is then given, as well as the format. (Featured guests: Brian Koppelman, Jennifer Tilly)
