This week on the Pokercast: The guys had to unexpectedly miss the show last week, so there’s 2 weeks worth of poker stories to cover and we try to get to all of them! The big story this week is the introduction of new events at this years World Series, aside from “The Colossus” there are more turbo events, a $25K PLO and many more brand new bracelet events to look forwards to. Adam and Terrence preview all of them, which ones are more +ev than others and which ones are just their personal favourites. In other tournament news, Adam and T Chan review the WPT Fallsview and the strange occurrences that happened there such as the chip leader at the final table being taken away in handcuffs and blinded off, and satellite winners selling their seats at absurdly high markup. Over in EPT Deauville the guys address the controversy of the Men who played the Womens event, and the man who eventually won said event. Phil Ivey is back cashing cheques in Australia as he takes down yet another $250k Challenge and Paul Phua wins the $100k event in ridiculous fashion. Other stories covered in “In Case You Missed It” are the issues surrounding Pokertube.com and their violation of intellectual property rights, Eric Lindgren being sued by Rational Group for $2 Million in unpaid debts and Pokerstars parts ways with Vanessa Rousso. Paul Phua shows up in the news again as a judge throws out evidence in his case involving an illegal sports betting ring in Vegas last year where the FBI posed as IT repair guys to gather evidence against him in his hotel. Also Ziigmund is back and getting angry in the chat after taking some beats and losing a lot of money to Ike Haxton in a hilarious high stakes chat log which prompts the guys to review Ross’ most recent live PLO session. As the guys move on to 140 or less, Adam has a bone to pick with one Doyle Brunson as he makes some more than insensitive comments on twitter regarding his views on sexual identity, they also review some listener tweets and one from Pokerstars’ Lee Jones. Lee then joins us from Pokerstars HQ to talk about a live poker trend that he hates and what’s been going on at Stars including the online gaming awards in London. As the show comes to an end Adam answers the Mail Bag and some shout outs are shouted out. Don’t forget the password and format to the Pokerstars Invitational is hidden within the show!
