This Week on the Pokercast: The first week of the 46th annual WSOP is history now and we’ve got all the stories from the Rio. Mr. Mike Johnson has returned to the Pokercast studios to host with Adam for what is his favourite time to talk poker, and most other poker fans favourite time of the year, too. To kick things off this week in “In Case You Missed It”: The Colossus was the largest live poker tournament of all time, Adam and Mike break down the sheer numbers of this tournament and talk about it’s pros and cons. The guys also talk about the other bracelet events of the week, one of which a pokercast listener took down! Alongside the WSOP there are a ton of other events going on in Vegas such as super high rollers at the Aria. There’s an interesting story about a guy who was accidentally registered for a $25k tournament and decided to play causing a big problem for the casino and we’ve got the details. Other stories covered this week are the 24hr poker channel, and Macau gambling revenue taking a dive. Last week Adam was away at a golf tournament with lots of poker players and industry types, and Matt Savage was the ring leader. Matt joins us to talk about the golf trip and the issues and news surrounding the heap of poker tournaments this week. Also, the Pokercast crew, new and old got together this weekend for Terrence's much anticipated fight and there are many stories from that night. Terrence joins us to talk about his experience from Vegas before heading down to the Rio to hop in a tournament. After T, Steve Day joins us to talk about what’s been happening at Pokerstars, the addition of some huge names to the Pokerstars Team and more. Finally, Andrew “LuckyChewy” Lichtenberger is our last guest of the night and he also joins us from Vegas. Andrew has had a ton of success not only over the last several years, but in the last couple months. We talk about his recent scores in SCOOP and Aria high rollers and about his new book “Yoga of Poker, a high stakes journey to freedom”. Lastly, listen for the password to the Pokerstars invitational for Pokercast listeners within the show! (Featured guests: Matt Savage, Andrew Lichtenberger)
