Phillippa Diedrichs from the Centre for Appearance Research and Sali Hughes, beauty writer for the Guardian, discuss the meaning behind the figures and why is appearance so important. Reality TV star turned businesswoman Amy Childs and philosopher Mahlet Zimeta discuss how we use appearance to reflect how we want others to see us. ComRes interviewed 1,006 British adults aged 18+ by telephone between 6th and 9th November 2015. Data were weighted to be representative of all GB adults aged 18+.
